Note
El objetivo principal de este artículo es el estudio de la respuesta fisiológica del estrés crónico sobre nuestro organismo y, especialmente, sobre el cerebro en desarrollo. Tras una breve introducción en el campo de la Neuroeducación, describimos las características principales de la plasticidad y la maduración cerebral, así como la respuesta fisiológica al estrés y a los efectos nocivos de éste sobre el sistema nervioso central infantil, más inmaduro y también más vulnerable a los efectos del ambiente. En el artículo se relaciona el estrés tóxico con la negligencia como importante factor de riesgo, así como con la construcción del apego seguro, un vínculo emocional que desarrolla el niño con sus padres y que constituye un importante factor protector. Por último, se habla de la importancia del estrés positivo para la construcción de la resiliencia infantil, así como de los peligros de la hiperpaternidad.
