Avaluació de la Intervenció Infermera en la Diabetis Mellitus Tipus II.

La Diabetis Mellitus tipus II és una malaltia crònica i, per tant, és incurable. La seva incidència no ha deixat d'augmentar en els últims temps, així ho mostren les estimacions dels estudis que indiquen que actualment afecta entre el 10% i el 15% de la població adulta[1]. És una malaltia que requereix un control exhaustiu per part del propi pacient; per aquest motiu és de vital importància que es duguin a terme programes d'educació sanitària per a les persones afectades per la malaltia. D'aquesta manera, es formarà el pacient perquè tingui els suficients coneixements per mantenir uns valors metabòlics dins de la normalitat i així evitar les complicacions derivades de la malaltia. Això s'aconseguirà amb una intervenció estructurada i definida per part de la infermera. Es vol realitzar un estudi, quasi experimental, per valorar la influència de l'educació diabetològica en el control metabòlic i comprovar els coneixements abans i després d’una intervenció educativa a uns pacients amb Diabetis Mellitus II, atesos al Centre d'Atenció Primària (CAP) de Castellbisbal.
