Svela Film Festival: a journey to reveal Mediterranean stories

Abstract

We are SVELA FESTIVAL, a travelling film festival based on a sailing boat that is dedicated to intercultural exchange in the Mediterranean. We curate a diverse programme of films, documentaries and animations covering Mediterranean issues of a social, environmental and/or cultural nature. Harking back to the origins of Western civilisation, we will physically carry these stories across the sea with the power of the wind, aiming to promote the discovery of shared experiences as well as the understanding and appreciation of cultural differences.
