Abstract
En la sociedad moderna actual, la importancia de la apariencia externa de las personas
va en aumento y la de sus dientes anteriores es un aspecto para tal fin. Las
restauraciones estéticas de los dientes anteriores presentan uno de los grandes retos en la
práctica diaria de una clínica dental. Las resinas modernas compuestas tienen el
potencial de reproducir el color natural del diente y nos dan una excelente alternativa
estética para realizar restauraciones de laboratorio, tanto sean coronas como laminados
de cerámica. Dichas resinas dentales se utilizan en las restauraciones estéticas
anteriores. En la odontología moderna, una restauración estéticamente aceptable
depende de diferentes parámetros, tal como el color dental, su forma, su posición dentro
de la arcada dental y su integración de la restauración en el aspecto en general del
paciente . La forma y el color de las restauraciones son factores claves en la zona
estética para una óptima integración de las resinas compuestas. Cada vez que debemos
realizar una restauración dental es un desafío y probablemente el de más dificultad de
conseguir sea el color.
