The square: project presentation

Abstract

The Square is a company based on the need of some young artists just out of artistic education (25-30 years old) who do not know their way around the art world and market and would like to make themselves known. As a solution to this problem, we propose a platform that provides exhibitions in Marseille (France) with the works of art of young people. These exhibitions are nomadic and arrive directly at the chosen location. Our service is aimed at public, educational and social institutions and private spaces for a special and different event. Our mission through this project is first of all to help these artists to develop their career but also to participate in the democratization of culture and arts for all. We build ourselves around values such as social equality, inclusivity, sustainability, artistic democratization. Our vision for The Square is to become an artistic spring board and an essential platform for the artists, professionals and art lovers but also to impulse a fresh and inclusive dynamism in the artistic life of the city and the region.
